LAKE CHARLES, La. – Jake Strong played a key role in McNeese’s dominant performance against Northwestern State on Saturday night.
The Cowboys jumped to an early lead, scoring four first-half rushing touchdowns, with Strong contributing one of those touchdowns. He completed 11 of 17 passes for 121 yards, throwing for one touchdown and one interception.
Strong’s highlight came on a 35-yard touchdown run, helping McNeese improve their record to 3-6 overall and 2-3 in the Southland Conference.
McNeese went on to secure a convincing 50-3 victory over Northwestern State.
