With the year rapidly coming to a close, it’s time for one more Hearthstone expansion for 2025. The Year of the Raptor takes a stroll through the ages with **Hearthstone: Across the Timeways**, a set that’s all about messing with the fabric of time. The latest expansion adds 145 cards across all 11 of the game’s classes and features some new mechanics, including the intriguing new Rewind keyword.
Across the Timeways is set to arrive today, which means it’s time again to take a look at some decks from Hearthstone’s most recognizable pros and streamers. Shacknews had a chance to play against some of these decks during the recent Hearthstone Theorycrafting session. While I didn’t have a lot of success, I had a lot of fun and was able to pick up valuable intel on this new set.
Let’s check out some deck ideas to help you get through the first day of this new expansion. Without further delay, here are some decks worth trying out on day one of Across the Timeways.

### Clark Hellscream’s Location Druid
**Deck highlights:**
– 2x Construct Pylons
– 2x Innervate
– 2x Story of Barnabus
– 1x Elise the Navigator
– 2x Zin-Azshari
– 2x Scrapbooking Student
– 1x Artanis, 1x Zilliax Deluxe 3000
This is a Druid deck that sneaks up on players if they’re not careful. How do I know this? Well, see this hapless Patron player that Clark queued up against twice? Yeah, that’s me. I took my foot off the gas thinking I had things under control, not realizing the buffed-up Zin-Azshari location could hit for an obscene amount in a single turn by doubling the stats of a minion on board.
Yes, that includes the Protoss minions that have Charge. Once your Zin-Azshari is buffed, make a copy of it with Scrapbooking Student, and you’ll be in a prime spot for a one-turn kill. Chances are your opponent won’t see it coming—I certainly didn’t.

### Warshack’s Midrange Hunter
**Deck highlights:**
– 2x Quel’dorei Fletcher
– 2x Untimely Death
– 2x Jungle Gym
– 2x Devious Coyote
– 2x Ankylodon
– 1x Ranger General Sylvanas
Hunter has more than just aggro tools this time around. Midrange cards like Ankylodon and Devious Coyote are proving highly valuable. Paired with the new Untimely Death Secret, these minions pop back up if the opponent removes them on the next turn.
The deck thrives on recruiting more Windrunners; their win condition improves the more of them see play. Use tools like Portal Vanguard to find them quickly and maintain board presence.

### Christian’s Dragon Warrior
**Deck highlights:**
– 2x Darkrider
– 2x Giftwrapped Whelp
– 2x Shield Block
– 1x Timelord Nozdormu
– 1x Lo’Gosh, Blood Fighter
– 1x Chrono-Lord Epoch
Warrior’s fabled legendaries—Lo’Gosh, Broll, and Valeera—require reaching 7 Mana to play, which can be challenging in an aggro meta. Fortunately, this deck includes enough control tools and lower-cost Dragons to survive until then.
Once on board, their deathrattles summon buffed versions of each other, making them tough to remove. If you don’t want to wait, use Chemical Spill on turn 5 to accelerate their arrival.
Chrono-Lord Epoch is another MVP; his ability to erase any minions played by the opponent last turn can turn the tide dramatically.

### Brigitteous’ Nature Shaman
**Deck highlights:**
– 2x Static Shock
– 2x Flux Revenant
– 2x Thunderquake
– 1x Muradin, High King
– 1x Krag’wa, the Frog
This Shaman deck embraces self-harm mechanics through Nature spells that affect both opponent and friendly minions. Cards like Flux Revenant and Stormrook benefit greatly when they’re hit with Nature spells.
Krag’wa the Frog is a fascinating inclusion, as it returns many Nature spells to your hand to refresh your options. Muradin, High King, the new Fabled Legendary, can quickly ramp up stats and pressure.

### Nohandsgamer’s Dragon OTK Mage
**Deck highlights:**
– 2x Go with the Flow
– 2x Buy One, Get One Free
– 1x Azure King Malygos
– 2x Watercolor Artist
While not heavy on Dragons, this Mage deck uses key Dragons to deliver a devastating combo. The goal is to draw *Buy One, Get One Free* on Watercolor Artist, discounting spells to zero cost.
This setup allows players to create infinite copies of Malygos to unleash massive burst damage, potentially killing the opponent in a single turn. The challenge lies in surviving the aggressive meta to pull off this combo.

### Trump’s Handbuff Priest
**Deck highlights:**
– 2x Overzealous Healer
– 2x Power Word: Barrier
– 2x Disciple of the Dove
– 2x Divine Augur
– 1x Zilliax Deluxe 3000
Trump takes a different approach with Priest, focusing on handbuff synergy instead of the previously popular Medivh strategies. Cards like Power Word: Barrier, Disciple of the Dove, and Divine Augur provide constant buffs to minions.
If your initial hand lacks minions, you can fall back on various Priest Imbue tools to buff your board and maintain pressure.

### Warshack’s Combo Rogue
**Deck highlights:**
– 2x Preparation
– 2x Shadowstep
– 2x The Kingslayers
– 1x Garona Halforcen
– 1x Chrono-Lord Deios
– 1x Incindius
This meme-yet-effective Rogue deck requires setting up multiple pieces to land a powerful combo. By playing Chrono-Lord Deios, a Mini Sandbox Scoundrel, Sonya Waterdancer, and another Mini Sandbox Scoundrel, you can reduce Incindius’ cost to just one.
With Sonya copying Incindius and Chrono-Lord Deios doubling its Battlecry and End of Turn effects, massive damage can follow on the next turn. Just be sure to survive your opponent’s threats to execute this plan.

### Kris O’ Five’s Bwonsamdi Death Knight
**Deck highlights:**
– 2x Morbid Swarm
– 2x Brittlebone Buccaneer
– 2x Chillfallen Baron
– 1x Bwonsamdi
– 1x Carnivorous Cubicle
– 1x Endbringer Umbra
Bwonsamdi is the gift that keeps on giving—if you can keep him alive and bring him back. Avoid including Undead minions that cost more than Bwonsamdi to maximize the value of Memoriam Manifest.
With Bwonsamdi sticking around, Carnivorous Cube can recycle key minions, and Endbringer Umbra can further activate Deathrattles to flood the board with powerful creatures.

### Zeddy’s Spell Demon Hunter
**Deck highlights:**
– 1x First Portal to Argus
– 2x Broxigar
– 2x Chaos Strike
– 1x Solitude
– 2x Lasting Legacy
– 1x The Eternal Hold
Zeddy has recently taken a liking to this new Demon Hunter gimmick. The goal is to enable the Portals to Argus and kill the resulting demons to summon a 12/12 Charge Broxigar.
This deck is packed with spells and weapons only, allowing cards like Blind Box and Time-Lost Glaive to discover minions, while buffs from Solitude and other spells help control the board. The Eternal Hold lets you find one high-cost Demon for free, setting up game-winning plays.

### Ozzie’s Rafaam Warlock
**Deck highlights:**
– 2x Paltry Flutterwing
– 2x Prize Vendor
– 2x Overplanner
– 1x Timethief Rafaam
– 2x RAFAAM LADDER!!
– 1x Timethief Rafaam
Though fraught with downsides, the Rafaam Warlock deck offers a thrilling race to get its unique win condition online. After seeing Trump pull Timethief Rafaam with Dirty Rat during a playtest, it’s clear this deck has explosive potential.
Even if the win condition falls through, the individual Rafaam cards are formidable. For example, a 9/9 body that polymorphs the board or a 7/7 that duplicates itself are nothing to sneeze at. Buffing these with Nightmare Lord Xavius adds even more threat.
Don’t count Rafaam out until you try him; you might be surprised.
