FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — J.R. Konieczny scored 24 points to lead Florida Gulf Coast to a 91-73 victory over Chattanooga on Saturday. In addition to his scoring, Konieczny contributed seven rebounds for the Eagles, who improved to 2-2 on the season.
Rahmir Barno added 20 points and eight assists, while Jordan Ellerbee finished with 14 points. Ellerbee shot 4 of 8 from the field, including an impressive 3 for 4 from beyond the arc, and went 3 for 4 from the free-throw line.
For Chattanooga, now 1-3, Jordan Frison led the team with 15 points. Tedrick Washington Jr. added 12 points and two blocks, and Jikari Johnson contributed 10 points.
