Tonight on The Stevetendo Show, we’re taking a little break from Mario Kart World and switching gears to another classic Super Mario game. While I’ve played Super Mario Galaxy on The show before, I haven’t yet played its sequel — until now. That changes tonight as we kick off a Super Mario Galaxy 2 playthrough!
I remember absolutely loving the original Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii. Super Mario Galaxy 2 built on that foundation, adding exciting new power-ups and even introducing our favorite green dinosaur, Yoshi, into space. The first game brought Mario into a thrilling 3D platforming experience, defying gravity in inventive ways. The sequel took that formula even further, delivering more creative worlds and challenges.
For fans worried about motion controls, good news: both Mario Galaxy games have received the “Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword” treatment. They’re available on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 with updated controls that let you play without motion input — perfect for those who prefer traditional controls.
