Land Rover has launched the MY26 Discovery SUV in India, with prices starting at ₹1.26 crore (ex-showroom). The British automaker introduces two new trims for the Indian market: the Gemini and Tempest editions. Both models feature unique exterior and interior design elements, while being powered by a robust 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged mild-hybrid diesel engine.
### Design Highlights
The Discovery Tempest edition stands out with its exclusive Petra Copper shade, available on up to 22-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, the roof, and the ‘Discovery’ lettering on the hood. It also features an updated grille with hexagonal elements finished in a Graphite Atlas gloss hue.
Meanwhile, the Gemini edition is characterized by a gloss black roof and 21-inch silver alloy wheels. It also sports silver skid plates adorned with two hexagonal motifs unique to this edition. The grille here is finished in a silver hue.
### Exterior and Interior Details
The Tempest edition offers three exterior color options: Carpathian Gray, Varesine Blue, and Charente Gray. Its interior can be customized with three hue choices, including Ebony with Ebony headliner, Caraway with Light Oyster headliner, and Light Oyster/Ebony with Light Oyster headliner.
In contrast, the Gemini edition, which is set to be the most affordable Discovery model in India in 2026, is available in all colors except Charente Gray (offered with the Tempest). Inside, it offers a choice between leatherette or fabric upholstery. Cabin themes mirror those of the Tempest edition.
### Special Features
The Tempest edition includes exclusive touches such as a unique ‘Tempest’ symbol on the puddle lamp and silver-finished door sill plates, elevating its premium feel.
### Technology and Comfort
The Gemini edition comes equipped with a comprehensive feature set including a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, an 11.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 12-speaker Meridian sound system, three-zone climate control, a powered steering column, and a 360-degree camera system.
Building upon this, the Tempest edition adds a head-up display (HUD), a more advanced 14-speaker Meridian sound system, four-zone climate control, powered third-row seats, and a heated steering wheel, enhancing both convenience and luxury.
### Powertrain
All variants across the lineup are powered by the same 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged mild-hybrid diesel engine, delivering strong performance befitting Land Rover’s reputation for capable and refined SUVs.
