This week, Embark Studios released **ARC Raiders**, giving players a fresh new multiplayer extraction shooter to enjoy. And enjoy it they have.
On its first day of availability, ARC Raiders attracted more than 180,000 players on PC alone, marking a strong start for Embark’s latest shooter. Concurrent player numbers for ARC Raiders on PC can be tracked on SteamDB, which began monitoring the game since its public debut earlier this week.
According to SteamDB, ARC Raiders has already reached over 188,000 players, with the number continuing to rise in the hours following launch. Approaching 200,000 players is a significant milestone for a new IP, especially in a month that has seen big releases like Call of Duty and Battlefield.
ARC Raiders appears to be winning over players with its mix of looting, PvE, and PvP gameplay, suitable for both solo players and groups. From my early preview experience, I found it engaging to play the odds and grab whatever I could—whether on my own or alongside squadmates.
With such a promising start, ARC Raiders is definitely a shooter to watch in the coming months.
