Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman enjoyed a rare public date night in New York City on Monday evening. The “Devil Wears Prada” actress and her husband attended the God’s Love We Deliver 2025 Golden Heart Awards, where they posed for photos together at the star-studded event.
The jewelry designer was seen offering his hand to Hathaway as she stepped out of their car upon arriving at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine. Hathaway, who was being honored by the foundation that evening, posed solo on the red carpet while Shulman watched from the sidelines.
Later, the couple shared a warm embrace for a photo op, with Hathaway smiling sweetly and pressing her face against Shulman’s cheek.
At 42, Hathaway looked chic in a black cape-style blouse paired with belted black trousers. She accessorized her ensemble with a gold necklace, delicate gold hoop earrings, and pointed-toe heels. The movie star wore her brown hair down in soft waves and sported a bronzed glow.
Shulman, 44, opted for a stylish green suede suit complemented by a white button-down shirt. He completed his look with Western-style green boots.
Hathaway, currently busy filming “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” rarely steps out with her husband at Hollywood events. The last time they walked a red carpet together was at the Bulgari High Jewelry Event in Rome, Italy, in May 2024.
The couple’s story began back in 2008 when they were introduced by a mutual friend and felt an instant connection. “I knew from the second I met him that he was the love of my life,” Hathaway revealed in a 2013 interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK.
However, it took some time before they officially started dating. Hathaway explained in a 2010 Vogue interview, “We hit it off immediately, but it took us a pretty long time to get together. He thought that I had a boyfriend, and I thought that he had a girlfriend, so I thought that I’d better keep my distance because I didn’t want to be that girl.”
After finally linking up, the couple married in 2012 and have since welcomed two sons, Jonathan, 9, and Jack, 5.
