**‘Swasth Nari-Sashakt Parivar’ Campaign Making Strides in Dhule District**
The ‘Swasth Nari-Sashakt Parivar’ campaign, launched in Dhule district on September 17, has made significant progress in promoting women’s health and family welfare. According to Dr. Sachin Bodke, District Health Officer of Zilla Parishad, 27,168 women have been examined so far as part of this initiative. Additionally, 1,668 patients have undergone expert medical examinations at district and sub-district hospital levels, with special care taken to address their health needs.
To strengthen the concept of ‘Sashakt Stree-Sashakt Parivar-Sashakt Samaj’ (Empowered Women-Empowered Family-Empowered Society), the campaign is being actively implemented at the village level through 41 primary health centres and 232 sub-centres across the district.
The campaign offers free health services and guidance tailored to women, focusing on their specific health requirements. Women attending these health camps undergo 20 different types of examinations, including vital checks for pregnancy, diabetes, dental health, cancer, tuberculosis, sickle cell disease, and anemia.
The initiative also provides essential support through nutrition and diet consultations for pregnant and lactating mothers, child nutrition advice, menstrual hygiene education, and mother and child safety programs. Benefits such as distribution of Abha cards, sickle cell cards, blood donation camps, and organ donation registrations are integral parts of the campaign’s extensive outreach.
Through these ongoing efforts, the message “Women’s Health Means Family Health” is being effectively conveyed to every household in the district.
District Collector Bhagyashree Vispute, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Aziz Sheikh, District Surgeon Dr. Datta Degavkar, and District Health Officer Dr. Bodke have all urged women in Dhule to take full advantage of these health camps to safeguard their well-being and that of their families.
