Normal activities resume at University of Delaware after evacuation

Normal activities have resumed at the University of Delaware after students were evacuated from three buildings on campus on Tuesday due to police activity.

Before noon on Tuesday, campus officials sent an alert to students stating that Gore Hall, Sharp Lab, and Mitchell Hall were evacuated due to ongoing police activity. The alert read:

“Police activity in the area of Gore Hall, Sharp Lab, and Mitchell Hall. Please evacuate Gore Hall, Sharp Lab, and Mitchell Hall. Avoid the area and follow all instructions from police. If you see something, say something. Call 911 to report suspicious activity. For more safety tips, visit http://www1.udel.edu/police/services/safety-tips.html.”
