The signing came during a ceremony held at Sacred Heart on Wednesday, November 19. Fontenot is a senior pitcher for the Lady Trojans. She said, “I am super excited, and I am excited to play with new girls in a new environment.” After playing two years at LSU-E, Fontenot plans on extending her playing career at a four-year university “I’ve been around a lot of elite athletes in a little bit of time, and Amelia is right at the top of the list,” said Lady Trojan head coach Will Pitre. “I think that’s due to her work ethic and good parents.” “Amelia works really hard,” Pitre continued. “This is all well deserved.
