Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A mini-truck lost control due to brake failure and rammed into multiple vehicles on Saturday evening within the Raoji Bazar police station limits, leaving two people injured.

According to police reports, the incident occurred while the mini-truck (registration number MP13 GB 6446) was descending from the Loha Mandi Bridge. The driver, identified as 25-year-old Mangal Kevat, a resident of Sanwer Bypass, first collided with a loading rickshaw, followed by two motorcycles, and finally a scooter.

A young woman riding the scooter, Monika Solanki (27) from Malviya Nagar, sustained injuries in the collision. Another woman, Sharmila Patel (28) from Old Palasia, was also hurt. Both injured women were promptly rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Police quickly took the driver into custody. During questioning, Mangal Kevat stated that the vehicle’s brakes had failed, leading to the accident. A breathalyzer test confirmed that he was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

The mini-truck has been seized by authorities, and a mechanical inspection has been ordered to determine the exact cause of the brake failure. Police investigations and interrogation of the driver are currently underway.

This incident marks the second time this month that a recklessly driven vehicle has caused injuries in the area, raising concerns over road safety.
