**Minnesota Timberwolves Defeat Miami Heat 125-115 to Snap Four-Game Losing Streak**

In a thrilling Saturday night game, Anthony Edwards scored 33 points, while Naz Reid poured in 29 points, helping the Minnesota Timberwolves pull away in the fourth quarter to beat the Miami Heat 125-115. This win ended Miami’s four-game winning streak.

Julius Randle contributed 23 points and 10 rebounds for Minnesota. Rudy Gobert added a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. On the Heat’s side, Norman Powell scored 21 points, Davion Mitchell and Nikola Jovic each added 14, and Bam Adebayo and Andrew Wiggins had 12 apiece.

The Timberwolves dominated early in the fourth quarter, outscoring Miami 19-4 in the first 4½ minutes to turn a narrow lead into a commanding 109-90 advantage.

Edwards shined again with 20 points in the first half, marking the second straight game he reached that mark by halftime. The last time Edwards had back-to-back 20-point halves was in February 2023.

Miami faced injury setbacks during the game: Powell left with right leg soreness but returned in the second quarter, whereas Jaime Jaquez Jr. exited after spraining his right ankle and did not return.

Coming off a frustrating 126-102 loss in Atlanta, Minnesota showed strong resolve with increased focus and discipline. Coach Chris Finch praised the team’s game plan and mental readiness, highlighting Donte DiVincenzo’s defensive performance against Powell in the early minutes, which resulted in a 24-point net advantage during DiVincenzo’s time on the court.

Naz Reid was especially effective coming off the bench, hitting four three-pointers and blocking two shots. Finch noted Reid’s ability to find space and capitalize on mismatches, calling it a “really complete game.”

The Timberwolves improved their record to 15-1 when holding opponents to 112 points or less. Minnesota shot 54% overall, while Miami dropped to 2-8 when allowing opponents to shoot 50% or better.

Minnesota’s next game is a 5 p.m. tip-off on Sunday evening against the Washington Wizards.
