OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Tony Osburn scored 27 points to lead Omaha to a 90-85 victory over Southern Utah on Saturday.
Osburn was efficient on the court, shooting 9 for 16 overall, including 2 for 6 from three-point range, and he was perfect from the free-throw line, sinking all seven attempts. The win improved the Mavericks’ record to 1-3.
Grant Stubblefield contributed significantly with 15 points, five rebounds, six assists, and six steals. Julian Margrave also made an impact by going 4 for 4 from beyond the arc, finishing with 12 points.
For Southern Utah, Elijah Duval put up 20 points and five assists, while Zach Bell added 20 points and two steals. Jaiden Feroah came close to a double-double with 16 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks. The Thunderbirds’ record now stands at 1-3.
