Tree Falls on Route 9 in Shrewsbury, Causing Power Outage
SHREWSBURY, MASS. (WHDH) — A tree fell onto Route 9 in Shrewsbury Tuesday evening, causing a power outage in the surrounding area, officials reported.
Police have closed the westbound side of Route 9 near the Route 20 intersection while crews work to clear the debris and restore safety.
The fallen tree also appears to have taken down power lines, which has resulted in a loss of electrical service for residents and businesses nearby.
