Defending champions India and Oman will face off in their final group match of the 2025 Asia Cup on Friday at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, the schedule for the Super Four stage has already been set. After 11 intense group matches, four teams have secured their spots in the next round, with the Super Four phase kicking off in Dubai on Saturday.

### Asia Cup 2025 Super Four Format

The Super Four stage will follow a round-robin format, where each team plays against the others. The top two teams at the end of this stage will advance to the final. The points system remains unchanged: teams earn two points for a win and one point for a no-result or abandoned match.

In the event that teams are tied on points at the conclusion of the Super Four matches, the net run rate (NRR) will be used to determine the rankings.

### How Did Teams Qualify for the Super Four Stage?

The first team to confirm their Super Four spot was India, led by captain Suryakumar Yadav. India is placed in Group A, where they opened their campaign with convincing wins over both the United Arab Emirates and arch-rivals Pakistan — a seven-wicket victory against Pakistan and a nine-wicket triumph against UAE.

The United Arab Emirates raised hopes of progressing for the first time in history after a strong win over Oman. However, their journey was cut short when former champions Pakistan defeated them by 41 runs, thanks to an all-around performance from Shaheen Afridi.

With Pakistan’s victory over Oman in their opening match and the subsequent win against UAE, the team secured their place alongside India in the Super Four.

From Group B, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh emerged as the qualifiers. Sri Lanka, captained by Charith Asalanka, dominated the group by winning all three of their matches. Bangladesh clinched the final berth after Afghanistan lost to Sri Lanka on Thursday.

As the Super Four stage approaches, fans can look forward to thrilling contests among these top teams battling it out for a place in the final. Stay tuned for more updates and match highlights.
