**Aryan Khan’s Web Series ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ Sparks Defamation Case Filed by Sameer Wankhede**
Aryan Khan’s web series *The Ba***ds of Bollywood* has become the center of controversy after former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer and current IRS officer Sameer Wankhede filed a ₹2 crore defamation lawsuit. The suit names Aryan Khan, Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt. Ltd (owned by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan), and Netflix as defendants.
The case alleges that a character in the series bears a striking resemblance to Wankhede and claims that the show was “deliberately conceptualised and executed with the intent to malign Wankhede’s reputation.”

### Delhi High Court Summons Shah Rukh Khan’s Production House
In the latest development, the Delhi High Court has issued summons to Netflix, Red Chillies Entertainment, and other accused parties in connection with the defamation suit. The court has directed Red Chillies Entertainment and the other respondents to file their replies within seven days.
According to reports by Live Law, appearing for Wankhede, senior Advocate Sandeep Sethi referred to the amended plaint and stated,
“In reference to the series, there are posts trolling me, my wife, and my sister. Ex facie defamatory. It’s shocking. They [the defendants] are surely not defending those posts.”
The matter has been scheduled for further hearing on October 30.

### What Sameer Wankhede Said
After filing the ₹2 crore defamation case, Wankhede addressed the media through PTI, saying,
“I don’t want to comment on this. I will just say one thing — *Satyamev Jayate* (Truth alone triumphs).”
In the background, Samajwadi Party leader and Mankhurd Shivajinagar MLA Abu Asim Azmi was also seen while Wankhede spoke to the media.
Wankhede further added,
“In our Mumbai area, especially Northern and Eastern Mumbai, drug consumption is a serious issue. We need to create awareness among the public about the different types of drugs and the legal provisions relating to them. Recently, a camp was organised here to talk to parents, and I’m very happy that I could come and talk to children, mothers, and religious leaders, explaining the legal provisions to the best of my ability.”
