Mason McGovern and Jake Jones combined for 35 points to lead Shawnee to a decisive 46-29 victory over Cherry Hill East in Medford. Shawnee successfully defended their home court against the No. 16 ranked Cherry Hill East in the NJ.com Top 20.
McGovern paced Shawnee with 19 points, while Jones was close behind, contributing 16 points. Chase Yakabosky added nine points, and Lucas Solomen accounted for the remaining scoring, helping Shawnee improve to a 14-5 record.
The loss marks a second consecutive defeat for Cherry Hill East, which had started the season on an impressive 17-game winning streak. Chris Delgado and Ryan Olson each scored eight points for Cherry Hill East, with Justin Farber adding seven more, bringing their record to 17-2.
