Sophie Lane led Westfield to a commanding 55-30 victory over Cranford, scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Ranked No. 12 in the NJ.com Top 20, the Blue Devils (10-3) established control early, taking a 15-8 lead after the first quarter and extending their advantage to 29-12 by halftime.
In addition to Lane’s strong performance, Megan Logan contributed 15 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and a game-high six blocks for Westfield. Mairin Fowler added seven points along with a team-high seven assists, while Darby Hubner also chipped in seven points.
Despite the loss, Cranford was led by Lily Costello, who scored an impressive 26 of the team’s 30 points. With this win, Westfield continues to demonstrate why they remain a top contender in the NJ.com rankings.
