Netflix (NFLX) Q4 2025 earnings results beat revenue expectations, miss EPS whisper number

Netflix recently reported its Q4 2025 earnings, delivering an interesting outcome for the TV and movie streaming giant. The company managed to beat several key metrics but fell just short of surpassing the expected whisper number for its earnings-per-share (EPS).

According to the results posted on Netflix’s investor relations website, the company generated actual revenue of $12.051 billion, exceeding Wall Street’s expectations of $11.97 billion. For EPS, Netflix reported $0.56 per share, which beat the analyst estimates of $0.55 per share. However, this figure was slightly below the Earnings Whisper number, which was set at $0.57 per share.

Netflix has been at the center of notable industry discussions over the past few months. Most prominently, the company is pursuing a massive acquisition of Warner Bros. for $82.7 billion USD. If all goes according to plan, the deal is expected to close by Q3 2026. To prepare for this acquisition, Netflix announced it has paused its share buyback program in order to build up cash reserves.

In other exciting news, Netflix secured a deal with Sony Pictures regarding the highly anticipated Legend of Zelda movie, developed in collaboration with Nintendo. Under this agreement, the film will stream exclusively on Netflix following its theatrical and home media release, marking a significant content win for the platform.

Overall, Netflix’s latest earnings report highlights its ongoing growth and strategic moves as it seeks to expand its entertainment footprint in a competitive streaming landscape.
