Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, the beloved stars of Nickelodeon’s *Good Burger* films and the ’90s sitcom *Kenan & Kel*, are reuniting once again for an exciting new project: *Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein*. This horror comedy will see the duo return as both producers and stars, with filming set to begin this summer. The film is co-produced by Thompson’s Artists for Artists and Range Media Partners.
Inspired by the classic Abbott and Costello monster films, *Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein* follows two delivery drivers whose routine drop-off takes a terrifying turn. When they arrive at a creepy, out-of-place castle, they accidentally awaken Frankenstein’s monster, turning an ordinary night into a fight for survival.
Jonah Feingold, known for *At Midnight* and *31 Candles*, is writing the script. Alongside Thompson and Mitchell, producers include John Ryan Jr., Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and Carter Swan. Executive producers are Will Hariton, Azim Spicer, and Monica Weber. Range Media Partners will handle sales for the film.
Thompson announced the project during Prime Video’s *Good Sports* event. He shared, “Kel and I have always loved finding new ways to work together, and this project felt like the perfect mix of nostalgia, comedy, and something completely unexpected. We’re excited to bring a fresh take on a classic monster story and have some fun doing it.”
Mitchell added, “Coming back together always feels natural, and this lets us tap into everything people love about our dynamic while trying something totally new. It’s funny, it’s scary, and it’s a great ride.”
Thompson, currently known for his work on *Saturday Night Live*, first met Mitchell during their time on Nickelodeon’s sketch show *All That*. They later collaborated on *Kenan & Kel* (1996-2000), *Good Burger* (1997), and most recently, *Good Burger 2* (2023).
