Goldsboro teen charged with attempted murder after Sheetz shooting incident

Goldsboro police arrested a 17-year-old teen following a shooting incident, and he now faces multiple charges, including attempted first-degree murder.

The arrest occurred on Tuesday, after officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Sheetz on North Spence Avenue on Friday, December 26. According to Goldsboro police, a 19-year-old man was shot during the incident and was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. His current condition has not been disclosed.

Authorities have not released the name of the 17-year-old suspect. He is currently being held at the Pitt Regional Juvenile Center in Greenville.

The charges against the teen include:

– Assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill
– Carrying a concealed weapon
– Possession of a handgun by a minor
– Discharging a firearm within city limits
