Despite computers being everywhere, Cooling Fans are extremely difficult to find in ARC Raiders. This rare item is essential for Stage 2 in the Expedition Project, so sooner or later, most players will find themselves on the hunt.

### Where to Find Cooling Fans
The best place to search for Cooling Fans is the **Space Travel building** in the Buried City. This red “Loot Value High” building is located right in the middle of the map. However, due to its central location and valuable loot, it’s often a hot spot with raiders patrolling or circling the area.
To boost your chances of finding a Cooling Fan, consider launching a Night Raid— there are generally fewer players, and enemies have more trouble spotting you.
You’ll need **five Cooling Fans** for the Expedition Stage 2 requirements, so be prepared for multiple runs.

### Looting Tips in the Space Travel Building
Once you’re inside the Space Travel building, focus on old computer terminals:
– **Small computers** on desks might drop Cooling Fans.
– **Large computer units** with data reels offer the best drop rates.
You can find these computers on the following floors:
– **Level 3** — Southwest corner of the room.
– **Level 4** — By the sand, just behind the elevator.
– **Level 6** — In the room to the southwest, before the breach door.
– **Level 6** — Behind the elevators.
If these locations yield no Cooling Fans or can’t be searched, look for the **vertical computer terminals** in other rooms. Prioritize terminals that need to be breached, as these sometimes contain higher value items.
Should these also fail, return to searching the small desktop computers scattered throughout the building.

### Extracting Safely
After looting, make your escape through the northwest alleyway that runs between the Space Travel building and the Parking Garage. There’s a set of stairs leading down to the train station here—use this route for a quick exit.
**Pro Tip:** Bring a backpack with a secure slot. If you’re ambushed by another player (“rat”) near the train, you’ll be able to stash the Cooling Fans safely inside your secure slot and keep them even if you’re downed.
