Despite computers being everywhere in ARC Raiders, finding Cooling Fans can be surprisingly difficult. This rare item is essential for Stage 2 of the Expedition Project, meaning most players will eventually need to track them down.
### Where to Find Cooling Fans
The best place to find Cooling Fans is the **Space Travel** building located in the Buried City. This building is marked as a red “Loot Value High” location situated in the middle of the map. Due to its prime location and high loot value, it often attracts other raiders, making it a hotly contested area.
To increase your chances of finding Cooling Fans, consider doing a **Night Raid**, when competition can be slightly less intense.
You will need a total of **five Cooling Fans** to fulfill the Expedition requirements for Stage 2.
### Searching Inside Space Travel
Once inside the Space Travel building, focus on the old computer terminals. While the small desktop computers on desks might occasionally drop Cooling Fans, your best chance lies with the larger units containing data reels.
Here are the specific locations of these large computer units:
– **Level 3:** Southwest corner of the room
– **Level 4:** By the sand behind the elevator
– **Level 6:** In the room to the southwest before the breach door
– **Level 6:** Behind the elevators
If these terminals don’t contain any Cooling Fans or cannot be searched, your next step is to check the vertical computer terminals found in other rooms — especially those that need to be breached.
Should those also come up empty, go back to searching the small desktop computers.
### Exfiltration and Tips
After collecting your Cooling Fans, make your escape through the northwest alleyway between Space Travel and the Parking Garage. There is a set of stairs there that leads down to the train station.
A critical tip: **always bring a backpack with a safe spot**. Store your Cooling Fans inside to protect your loot in case you get downed by other players camping the train station. This way, you ensure you won’t lose the valuable items you worked hard to find.
