On Wednesday, *The Daily Show* correspondent Desi Lydic called out South Korea for giving President Donald Trump a gift she described as “not helping” the situation here in the United States: a literal golden crown.
“What a lovely, thoughtful gift for our president,” Lydic deadpanned before switching cameras for a mock one-on-one with South Korea.
“Hey! South Korea!” she called out. “What the fuck are you doing?”
Lydic referenced the recent “No Kings” demonstrations, in which millions of Americans took to the streets to protest Trump.
“We have been trying real hard over here to gently steer our president away from the whole ‘king’ thing,” she pointed out. “And then you come along all, ‘Hey, President Trump, check out this cool crown. Try it on. Take it home with you.’ Not helping!”
She then suggested a different type of gift that the president might appreciate instead.
“Please, just give him a sack of money like a normal country and stop fucking up our shit,” she said.
