Harper Murray Shares Insights on Nebraska Volleyball Team’s Performance Against Tough Opponents

The Nebraska volleyball team continued its impressive run with a commanding victory against Oregon on November 2 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. The Huskers maintained their unbeaten streak with a 25-21, 25-20, 25-12 win over the Ducks.

One of the standout performances in the match came from Harper Murray, who contributed nine kills and nine digs. Taylor Landfair also had a strong showing, recording ten kills and hitting an impressive .400.

### Murray Reflects on Team’s Areas for Improvement

During the post-match conference, Murray and other team members discussed key focus areas to stay competitive against strong teams like Oregon. When asked about the conversations she and her teammates have during matches to improve, Murray emphasized trust in their training.

“I think we have to trust our training because, you know, at the end of the day, we know how to pass the ball. Coming into the gym, we get used to our own serves and passing each other’s serves. So when we face a team like Oregon with powerful arms and strong serves, it’s just a mindset switch for us. We have to figure out how to fight it high in the middle because, like I said, we know how to pass the volleyball,” Murray explained.

She added, “So it’s just a matter of can we do it together? Can we communicate early and can we see those balls that are going out and take those to our advantage?”

### Huskers Maintain an Impressive 22-0 Unbeaten Streak

With this latest win, the Nebraska volleyball team extended its unbeaten streak to 22-0, demonstrating consistent dominance throughout the season.

### Harper Murray on Team Goals for the 2025 Season

In a conversation with NCAA Championships, Murray shared insights about the team’s aspirations for the season. When asked about the Huskers’ ultimate goal, she revealed their strong desire to win the national championship title under their new coach, Dani Busboom Kelly, who joined the program on January 29 this year.

“I feel like there’s always a story, and that’s something our team has talked about this year. Our story can be about Dani — like we have a new coach, a new era of Nebraska volleyball, and we can win a national championship her first year here,” Murray said.

### What’s Next for Nebraska Volleyball?

The Nebraska Cornhuskers will next face Illinois on November 6 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. Fans will be eager to see if Nebraska can continue their winning streak and push closer toward their championship goal.
