One of the biggest games of the weekend is **Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment**. The action-packed spin-off of *The Legend of Zelda* now explores the era before *Tears of the Kingdom*, and it’s a premise that has the Shacknews staff excited—especially now that TJ’s review is in.
That left us asking each other, and now we’re asking the readers: Who will be your main for *Age of Imprisonment*?

### Shack Chat: Who is your main for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment?
#### Zelda
**Ozzie Mejia, Senior Hyrule Warrior**
I’m a little surprised that the rest of the staff didn’t choose the Princess of Hyrule, especially considering how much fun everyone had playing as Zelda in last year’s *Echoes of Wisdom*. I know she has a totally different arsenal this time around, but that doesn’t make her any less resourceful or powerful. This time, I’m ready to go from throwing stools and beds to carving up legions of foes in one swing.

#### Mineru
**TJ Denzer, Stans an Unbothered Queen of Machines**
Players are in for a treat with Mineru, especially if they didn’t make it to the end of *Tears of the Kingdom* to see what she’s capable of. In ancient Hyrule, Mineru was the Sage of Spirit and the foremost expert on Zonai technology and history.
In combat, Mineru is a grab-bag of insane combos using fused Zonai devices. I’m pretty sure most of her weapon ideas came from the crazy Zonai constructs players were already building in *Tears of the Kingdom*. She’s just so fun to play!
Mineru carries all the aura of Rauru but with a confident intellect that makes her delightfully haughty. Her unbothered vibe, paired with the fact that she lets her machines do the talking in battle, makes Mineru my easy favorite in both combat and style.

#### Rauru, the First King of Hyrule
**Asif Khan, Beat *The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom***
While I’m intrigued by the idea of playing as the “Mysterious Construct” and Zelda, I’ve wanted to play as Rauru ever since he was introduced in *Tears of the Kingdom*.
Rauru is a badass leader, and he’s got that sweet Ultrahand. With so many great character choices in *Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment*, I’m sticking with the OG.

#### Mysterious Construct
**Sam Chandler, Mystery Man**
A character with “Mysterious” in their name instantly piques my interest. I’m already thinking about the lore implications and why this entity needs such a label.
My headcanon? This might be some form of Link—either transformed into a Construct or designed based on the Hero of Time. I can’t wait to dive in, carve up some enemies, and hopefully uncover more about this enigmatic figure.

#### The Goron, Agraston
**Steve Tyminski, Rock On!**
Who’s my main for *Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment*? I have to go with the Goron, Agraston.
I loved playing as Yunobo in *Tears of the Kingdom*, rolling him into enemies. From what I’ve seen on the *Age of Imprisonment* site, Agraston is large, in charge, and uses his power for devastating results. In this kind of game, enemies can overpower you quickly if you’re unprepared, so attacks that cover large areas and deal major damage are essential.
I’m also interested in exploring what Sonia, Mineru, Calarmo, and the Mysterious Construct can do in combat, but for now, Agraston is my pick to start the adventure.
