Say what you want about cats and dogs being mortal enemies, but there is just too much adorable proof online that begs to differ. Take, for example, this cat named River.
River is best friends with a senior dog named Oakley. Once their human started giving Oakley daily massages, River quickly took an interest. He would always watch and comfort Oakley, especially since these massages were for physical therapy reasons and didn’t always feel very good.
River could sense the discomfort in his old friend and seemed to say to the human, “Move aside, you’re doing it wrong!” Now, River tends to Oakley alongside their human, giving him massages while purring and providing comfort to his “mortal enemy” dog best friend.
Honestly, it’s absolutely adorable and restores our faith in the world.
