SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Schenectady-based nonprofit has been granted new funds to assist county residents facing food insecurity. Schenectady Shares was recently presented with a $100,000 check to continue its vital work.
The organization provides funds and support to food pantries and aid organizations throughout Schenectady County, helping to ensure that those in need have access to essential resources.
Rev. Dustin Longmire stated that the funding is arriving at a critical time, enabling Schenectady Shares to expand their efforts and reach more individuals and families struggling with hunger.
