Enterprise blockchain company Ripple has announced the acquisition of digital asset wallet and custody infrastructure firm Palisade. This latest move is designed to enhance Ripple’s custody business, which was initially launched in October 2024.
Palisade specializes in quickly deploying wallets at scale with multi-chain support. Notably, the firm is already integrated with the XRP Ledger. In an official announcement, Palisade stated, “Our wallet-as-a-service platform will help power Ripple’s next-gen custody and payments infrastructure, bringing our technology to businesses worldwide. Same team, now at enterprise scale.”
### Ripple’s Acquisition Spree
Ripple, primarily known for its association with the XRP cryptocurrency, has spent more than $4 billion on a series of acquisitions and investments. Recently, the company announced that it had agreed to acquire treasury management firm GTreasury for $1 billion.
Earlier this year, Ripple also acquired prime brokerage firm Hidden Road, which has since been rebranded as “Ripple Prime,” as well as stablecoin payments platform Rail.
With these strategic acquisitions, Ripple is positioning itself to expand its enterprise blockchain offerings and strengthen its presence in the digital asset custody and payments space.
