Holiday Happenings in Milpitas
Milpitas is set to kick off the holiday season on Friday, Dec. 5, with Cookies with Santa and the city’s annual tree-lighting ceremony.
For Cookies with Santa, Santa will be available for two snack times: 5:30–6:30 p.m. and 7:30–8:30 p.m. at the Milpitas Community Center, located at 457 E. Calaveras Blvd. Families can enjoy making holiday-themed crafts before posing for a photo with the jolly old elf.
Admission is $11, and an $18 ticket includes a cookie decorating kit. Tickets can be purchased at cityofmilpitas.simpletix.com.
Santa will also be available for photo opportunities at the tree-lighting ceremony, happening from 7–9 p.m. at Civic Center Plaza, adjacent to the community center. This free event will feature a performance by the Milpitas Community Concert Band.

Fun with Art at Milpitas Library
The Milpitas Library is hosting the final session of its five-part Fun with Art program on Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 10:30–11:30 a.m.
Led by First5 Santa Clara County partners from the Josephine Guerrero Family Resource Center (FRC) in Milpitas, this program is designed for children ages 3 to 5 and their caregivers.
FRC staff will read a story, guide a craft activity based on the book, and share information about resources available at the center. Registration is not required, but space is limited, so early arrival is recommended.
