**Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Praises Nancy Pelosi After Her Announcement to Retire**
Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia described Democrat Nancy Pelosi as “impressive” during an interview on CNN after the former House Speaker from California announced she will not seek reelection.
Greene appeared on CNN’s *The Situation Room* with Wolf Blitzer and Pamela Brown, where she shared her thoughts on Pelosi’s retirement. “My reaction is that I believe in term limits. I cosponsored that bill, and it’s been decades now that I believe we have seen a failure in Washington, D.C.”
Despite her political differences, Greene praised Pelosi’s career. “However, I will praise Nancy Pelosi. She had an incredible career for her party. I served under her during her Speakership in Congress. I was very impressed with her ability to get things done.”
Greene expressed a desire for more effective leadership across the political spectrum. “I wish we could get things done for our party like Nancy Pelosi did for hers. I wish her well in her retirement.”
At the same time, she shared a personal opinion on congressional tenure. “But I would like to see people exit Washington a lot sooner instead of well into their 80s.”
