Letter: Larger police presence needed at Wai Kai

I love the Wai Kai water sports venue in West Oahu and want its events to continue. Bigger events usually have a police presence, but the Thursday food trucks do not. We have seen officers there one time at the very beginning, but since then, nothing.

Cars are flying up and down the road and motorbikes and e-bikes especially do wheelies. If the Honolulu Police Department is practicing targeted policing based on shortages, I don’t understand why officers are not there at least on random Thursdays. Someone is going to get hurt.
