Epstein claimed Trump was regular visitor — but never participated in illicit activity

Convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein once claimed that President Donald Trump was a regular visitor to his Palm Beach mansion but never received a rubdown or took part in any illicit activities.

In an email to himself dated February 1, 2019, months before Epstein was arrested on sex trafficking charges and subsequently died in jail, Epstein wrote, “Trump knew of it and came to my house many times during that period. He never got a massage.” The Washington Post was the first to report on this email, which did not clarify what “it” referred to. The message was released as part of roughly 20,000 pages of documents from Epstein’s estate made public by the House Oversight Committee.

In another 2019 email addressed to author Michael Wolff, Epstein claimed about Trump, “Of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop,” referencing Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s confidant and “fixer.” However, it remains unclear what Trump allegedly knew and whether it related to Epstein’s criminal activities.

Trump has acknowledged knowing Epstein socially in Palm Beach but attributed their falling-out in the mid-2000s to a real estate deal and Epstein’s recruitment of employees away from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club. When asked by reporters in July 2019 if he ever suspected Epstein of molesting underage women, Trump replied, “I had no idea.”

According to court documents unsealed in January, Trump visited Epstein’s estate numerous times for dinner. The documents also revealed that Prince Andrew received “daily” massages at the home. Epstein’s former butler, Juan Alessi, who worked there from 1991 to 2002, told lawyers that Trump would come for meals but never stayed overnight or received massages from Epstein’s girls.

Alessi recounted, “He would come, have dinner. He never sat at the table. He ate with me in the kitchen.” When asked if Trump ever had massages at the estate, Alessi responded, “No, because he’s got his own spa.”

In response to renewed scrutiny, Trump stated on Wednesday that Democrats “are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein hoax again because they’ll do anything at all to deflect on how badly they’ve done” regarding the government shutdown and other issues.

“There should be no deflections to Epstein or anything else, and any Republicans involved should be focused only on opening up our country and fixing the massive damage caused by the Democrats!” he wrote.
