Coyote-Powered Factory Five Racing Mk4 Roadster 6-Speed

This Factory Five Racing Mk4 Roadster was ordered by its first owner in 2017 and reportedly assembled as a father-son project. Finished in metallic gray with black stripes over black leather upholstery, the car combines classic styling with modern performance.

Under the hood, it is powered by a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 linked to a Tremec six-speed manual transmission. This 2017 Mustang GT-spec engine is rated at 435 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. It features an aluminum block, an 11.0:1 compression ratio, full-length exhaust headers, and uses a Ford engine controller and wiring harness. The engine bay also houses CNC fluid reservoirs, complementing the overall build quality.

The Mk4 Roadster rides on 17″ black powder-coated Halibrand-style wheels with faux knock-off spinners, fitted with 245/45 front and 315/35 rear Nitto NT555 G2 tires, installed in September 2024. Suspension is fully independent at the rear, paired with power steering for a responsive driving experience. Braking duties are handled by slotted and cross-drilled rotors with red-finished multi-piston Wilwood calipers.

Exterior details highlight the car’s unique character, featuring a single roll hoop, hood scoop, Raydot driver-side mirror, wind wings, quick-jack bumperettes, a LeMans-style fuel filler cap, and stainless-steel side-exit exhaust pipes. The fiberglass bodywork’s metallic gray finish is accented by black stripes bordered with white and red pinstripes, enhancing its aggressive yet refined appearance.

Inside, the cabin is appointed with heated low-back bucket seats upholstered in black leather, complemented by Simpson multi-point harnesses for safety. Additional features include a lockable glovebox, rearview mirror, sun visors, USB outlets, and a Cobra-logo shift knob. The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Speedhut 8,000-rpm tachometer and a 180-mph GPS speedometer, while an analog clock and gauges for water temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level are centrally located on the dashboard.

This Roadster’s digital odometer displays just 3,200 miles, with approximately 200 miles added under the current ownership. The seller acquired the car in 2020, and recent service in 2024 included replacing the battery, tires, side-exhaust adjustment wedge, exhaust gaskets, and brackets. Notably, the chassis was delivered with optional factory powder-coating, ensuring durability and a clean finish.

The Mk4 Roadster is offered with owner’s manuals, service records, and a clean Montana title that describes the vehicle as a 2018 Special Construction Cobra. This exceptional example of Factory Five’s craftsmanship combines powerful performance with detailed finishes and thoughtful upgrades, making it a standout for enthusiasts and collectors alike.
