WWE legend Kurt Angle drops massive announcement

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently made a surprising announcement about his involvement with a new wrestling promotion. Angle, who currently serves as an analyst and commentator for Real American Freestyle, revealed that his role has expanded beyond just commentary.

Real American Freestyle was founded by Hulk Hogan in April, with support from entrepreneur Chad Bronstein and assistance from Eric Bischoff. The promotion’s first event took place over a month after Hogan’s passing and was widely regarded as a success.

Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Angle shared that he is now a part-owner of Real American Freestyle, thanks to Hogan and Bronstein. “I’m helping a little bit here and there, but for the most part, I’m an announcer. I’m also a percentage owner in the company. That was really thoughtful of (Hulk) Hogan and Chad (Bronstein) to include me in being part owner. I’m taking a lot of pride in this. I mean, I own part of it now, and this is something that I’m going to take pride in and do the best I can to make it work,” Angle explained.

Angle also revealed that he initially declined Hogan’s offer to be a commentator for Real American Freestyle. However, after giving it some thought, he renegotiated a deal with Chad Bronstein and was fully on board before Hogan’s death.

### Kurt Angle Gives Update on His Retirement Life

After a remarkable 21-year career in professional wrestling, Kurt Angle officially retired at WrestleMania 35 following his loss to Baron Corbin. Since retiring, Angle has been enjoying life outside the ring, making occasional appearances.

One of the challenges former WWE stars often face is managing chronic pain, particularly for Angle, who has a history of painkiller abuse. During his conversation with Ariel Helwani, Angle revealed that he recently underwent knee replacement surgery. He shared positive news about his knees, stating he no longer feels pain there.

Unfortunately, Angle’s shoulders continue to give him trouble. Although his back pain has subsided after finding the right routine, his shoulder issues persist. He is expected to undergo surgery to address both shoulders, though he admits there is no guarantee the procedures will fully relieve the pain.

Kurt Angle’s transition into a new role as part-owner of Real American Freestyle and his ongoing battle with physical pain highlight the evolving chapter in the life of this Olympic gold medalist and wrestling legend. Fans will no doubt be watching closely as he takes on these new challenges.
