Tokyu Line Trains Collide and Derail in Kawasaki, Services Suspended

According to police reports, just before midnight on October 5th, Tokyu Corporation announced that two trains had made contact at Kajigaya Station on the Den-en-toshi Line.

The railway operator stated that a regular service bound for Shibuya collided with an out-of-service train at around 11 p.m. This collision caused the front car of the out-of-service train to derail.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among passengers. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.

As a result of the collision, Tokyu Corporation suspended train services between Shibuya and Saginuma starting from the beginning of operations on October 6th. Additionally, sections of the Oimachi Line have also been temporarily halted.

Officials are currently working diligently to assess the situation and determine when train services can safely resume. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
