Thamma’s music director Sachin Sanghvi gets ACCUSED of sexual assault by…, his lawyers call allegations…

Maddock Films’ horror comedy universe’s latest installment, *Thamma*, has been creating a buzz at the box office ever since its release. However, recently, the film has been in the news for reasons completely unrelated to its commercial success.

According to a report by India Today, Sachin Sanghvi, the music director of *Thamma*, has been accused of sexual harassment by a 29-year-old woman. The woman alleged that Sanghvi promised her a role in a music video and even marriage, after which he sexually assaulted her. Following the complaint, an FIR was filed against the music composer, and he was taken into custody. However, he was later released on bail.

### Sachin Sanghvi’s Lawyer Responds

Sachin Sanghvi’s lawyer, Aditya Mithe, addressed the media regarding the allegations. He described the accusations as “absolutely baseless and unsubstantiated” and even called Sachin’s detention “illegal.” Mithe added, “There are absolutely no merits to the case. We intend to defend all allegations fully and unequivocally.”

As of now, the music director himself has not made any public comment on the issue. Notably, his Instagram account, @soulfulsachin, has been deactivated. However, the Instagram account of the music duo Sachin is part of, Sachin-Jigar, remains active.

### Maddock Films Faces Similar Controversy Before

This is not the first time Maddock Films has been embroiled in such controversies. Last year, during the successful run of *Stree 2*, choreographer Jani Master (real name Shaik Jani Basha) was accused of sexual assault by a former assistant choreographer.

The victim, who was 21 years old at the time of filing the case, alleged that she had been subjected to sexual assault by Jani Master for over six years, starting when she was a minor. Following the complaint, Jani Master was arrested by Cyberabad police in Goa on September 19, 2024, under the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

He later confessed to the allegations and was granted bail on October 24, 2024, by the Telangana High Court.

These incidents have sparked discussions about accountability and safety within the film industry, reinforcing the need for stringent measures to protect individuals from harassment and abuse.
