MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) – The Madera County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team has been actively responding to multiple emergency incidents over the past month, including a recent rescue involving an injured dirt bike rider.
On October 12, a dirt bike rider sustained an injury and used his iPhone to send a 911 text message requesting help. The message included his location and indicated he had suffered a back injury.

Rescue crews found that the rider had a serious spinal injury. Using specialized equipment, they carefully lifted him into the helicopter and transported him to a local hospital for treatment.
The Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to the Search and Rescue team for their swift response and dedication to keeping the community safe.
