ONTARIO, Calif. (KABC) — A suspected car thief who attempted to flee from Ontario police was quickly apprehended, and the entire foot chase was captured on camera.
The Ontario Police Department shared the dramatic video on social media, noting that the suspect seemingly tried to turn a stolen car incident into an impromptu cardio session earlier this month.
The footage shows the suspect sprinting away after reportedly abandoning a stolen vehicle. An officer immediately gave chase and rapidly closed the distance.
Along with the video, police issued a warning to potential thieves, stating, “Our officers’ fitness game is strong.”
