Goldsboro man arrested for alleged murder of 5-year-old boy, held without bond

Goldsboro police have arrested a man accused of killing a 5-year-old boy.

Authorities identified the suspect as 30-year-old Kenneth Ray Robinson Jr., who was taken into custody on Monday. He now faces possible murder charges in connection with the case.

The incident came to light after officers responded to UNC Health Wayne on Friday, October 16, following reports of possible child abuse. The young boy was subsequently transferred to ECU Health in Greenville for treatment.

Tragically, the child later died from his injuries.

Police obtained a warrant for Robinson’s arrest on Friday, October 24. He is currently being held in Wayne County Jail without bond.
