German Report: South Pole Climate Contradicts CO2 Theory

The South Pole Challenges the Global Warming CO2 Theory

Recent observations from the South Pole are presenting evidence that contradicts the mainstream global warming narrative centered on CO2 emissions. Policy makers should take note of these findings.

Germany’s Report 24: Cold Records at the South Pole

On October 15, the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station recorded an astonishing temperature of minus 61.3 degrees Celsius. What makes this especially notable is that it wasn’t even winter at the South Pole — it was spring, a period when temperatures typically start to rise.

Coldest October Since 1981

According to Germany’s Report 24, this was the coldest October recorded at the station since 1981. Moreover, this isn’t an isolated event. For instance, CNN reported the coldest winter in 2021 at the South Pole.

Data from research stations such as Amundsen-Scott, Vostok, and Dome C show that the South Pole experiences extreme temperature fluctuations dominated by natural variability rather than a steady, CO2-driven warming trend. These include pronounced cold snaps that periodically set new records.

The Antarctic Is Even Growing Colder in Some Areas

For decades, scientists have asserted that polar regions would be the areas most vulnerable to warming caused by greenhouse gases. Yet, Antarctica has stubbornly resisted this trend, with some parts even showing signs of cooling.

Report 24 suggests that these recurring cold records serve as a “nail in the coffin” for the CO2-centric climate theory. If carbon dioxide were truly the dominant control knob of climate, such extreme and prolonged cold periods should not consistently occur.

This discrepancy implies that current climate models may dramatically overestimate warming trends in Antarctica. Either the models are flawed, or the CO2-focused understanding of climate change is incomplete.
