Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking (EU-Rail) has announced up to €148.2 million in EU funding to advance the next generation of rail technologies and operational solutions. This investment aims to support projects with a total value of around €245 million.
Apostolos Tzitzikostas, the European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, emphasized that the initiative will strengthen Europe’s competitiveness by accelerating the deployment of interoperable solutions across the Single Market.
“Open to all innovators, including SMEs, universities, and start-ups, the call encourages strong partnerships and practical solutions that deliver impact quickly and at scale,” he said.
