‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Actor Dies of Heart Attack: Floyd Roger Myers Jr. Was 42

Former child actor Floyd Roger Myers Jr. has passed away at the age of 42. Myers, best known for portraying a young Will Smith in *The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air*, died early Wednesday morning from a heart attack at his home in Maryland.

According to videos shared by PopCulture.com, Myers’s mother, Renee Trice, revealed to TMZ that he had suffered three heart attacks over the past three years. She also mentioned that they had spoken just the night before his passing.

Myers began his acting career playing a young Will Smith in a Season 3 episode of *The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air*, which aired in 1992. He later starred as a young Marlon Jackson in *The Jacksons: An American Dream*, a TV biopic about the famous musical family. In 2000, he appeared in The WB’s series *Young Americans*.

Myers was a father to four children. According to a GoFundMe page established by his sister to help cover funeral expenses, he leaves behind his kids and family. His mother, Renee Trice, posted a heartfelt tribute on Facebook this Wednesday. Accompanied by a photo of Myers with his four children, she shared the caption: “THIS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE SO,” along with a link to the GoFundMe.
