Jennifer Aniston is making room for her friends with a major upgrade to her new home in Bel-Air, RadarOnline.com can report. The *Morning Show* star is in the midst of a multi-million dollar renovation on a neighboring property right next to her current mansion.

Earlier this year, Aniston purchased the adjacent five-bedroom, five-bathroom house for $7.25 million. This new property sits just steps away from her luxurious $21 million, 8,500-square-foot mega mansion. Reports suggest she may use the recently acquired house as a guesthouse or annex.

According to Los Angeles building permits, the 56-year-old actress is focusing on renovating three bathrooms and the kitchen inside the 4,853-square-foot home. Aerial photos obtained exclusively by Radar show extensive work being done on the exterior as well.

The backyard swimming pool has been completely drained and refurbished, while the front yard grass and landscaping have been stripped away, leaving a large dirt patch. The photos also reveal that Aniston removed the solar panels from the roof, though it is unclear if new panels will be installed.

### Creating a Private Compound Following a Stalker Incident

Aniston’s new purchase provides her with the opportunity to create a private compound—something she might want after a frightening encounter with a stalker earlier this year.

In May, a man named Jimmy Wayne Carwyle attempted to storm her home in the upscale Bel-Air neighborhood. The *Just Go With It* star was home when Carwyle crashed his Chrysler PT Cruiser through her gate. Fortunately, a security guard intervened, holding the 49-year-old at gunpoint until police arrived to arrest him.

Carwyle was also accused of sending Aniston unwanted social media, voicemail, and email messages beginning in March 2023, with the last message arriving the same day as the gate-crashing incident, according to the district attorney’s office.

### The Aftermath: Aniston’s Reaction and Increased Security

A source close to the actress shared that Aniston was “extremely shaken up” by the ordeal and even *considered selling her property* because of the security scare.

“This was her dream home, but everyone knows the address,” the source added.

Aniston originally purchased her mid-century modern-style mansion in 2011 while dating actor Justin Theroux. The couple later married on the grounds of the estate. The home includes four bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, a wine cellar, a pool, and a guesthouse. It offers breathtaking city and ocean views and sits on nearly two acres of land.

### LAPD Controversy and Privacy Concerns

Adding to Aniston’s frustration, the Los Angeles Police Department reportedly revealed her home’s exact location following the intrusion, forcing her to hire additional security.

During a CBS interview, an LAPD spokesperson disclosed the exact block where Aniston’s house is situated. Soon after, she was inundated with unwanted visitors and fans outside her property, hoping to catch a glimpse of the star.

“Jen is furious with the LAPD for releasing where she lives,” a source said. “Although you can Google her address, she can’t believe the police revealed her block.”

“As one of the biggest celebrities in the world, she expected more protection from the police,” the source added.

Jennifer Aniston continues to safeguard her privacy and enhance her living space as she navigates life in the spotlight. The ongoing renovations are just the latest step in creating a secure, welcoming environment for herself and her loved ones.
