Erik Spoelstra was just 13 years old the last time the Olympics were held in Los Angeles, and he vividly remembers what it was like watching those games on television.

Fast forward to 2028, and Spoelstra will have a much better view—because he’ll be right in the middle of the action.

Recently, Spoelstra was named USA Basketball coach through 2028, taking the reins for the upcoming Olympic cycle.

As Coach Spoelstra steps into this role, he’ll be working alongside legendary figures like Coach Popovich and Steve Kerr, continuing a legacy of excellence.

The basketball world eagerly awaits what this talented coaching team will achieve in the years to come.
