**Emily in Paris Season 5 Premiere Date Announced**
Emily in Paris will finally be saying “Bonjour” to Season 5 soon. The new season of the Netflix hit series is set to premiere on December 18, 2024.
A new trailer for Season 5 has been released, giving fans a glimpse of Lily Collins’ titular character as her romance with Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) continues following their meeting in Season 4. Notably, Emily is no longer in Paris but has relocated to Rome. Ashley Park’s character Mindy remarks that Rome “looks so good” on her.
The teaser also offers a first look at Minnie Driver’s new character, Princess Jane, along with many other exciting developments.
### What to Expect in Season 5
According to Netflix, in Season 5 of *Emily in Paris*:
> “Now the head of Agence Grateau Rome, Emily faces professional and romantic challenges as she adapts to life in a new city. But just as everything falls into place, a work idea backfires, and the fallout cascades into heartbreak and career setbacks. Seeking stability, Emily leans into her French lifestyle until a big secret threatens one of her closest relationships. The returning cast includes Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, and Lucien Laviscount.
Joining Minnie Driver in Season 5 are Bryan Greenberg, following the cancellation of *Suits LA*, and Michèle Laroque.
### Production Details
Netflix renewed *Emily in Paris* for Season 5 in September 2024, just days after the release of *Season 4 Part 2*. Filming for the new season began in Paris in May, with additional production taking place in Rome and Venice.
Tragically, production was briefly suspended following the sudden death of assistant director Diego Borella. Filming resumed shortly afterward and wrapped up days later.
