World No. 19 Daria Kasatkina has announced that she will be ending her 2025 WTA season early. In an emotional statement released on Monday, the 28-year-old revealed that she was at a “breaking point.”

Kasatkina, who switched her nationality from Russia to Australia in March, experienced a tough defeat last week. She lost badly to Sonay Kartal in her opening match at the WTA 1000 event in Beijing.

This unexpected decision marks a significant moment in Kasatkina’s career as she takes time to recover and regroup following recent challenges on the tour.
