West Indies announce squad for Nepal T20I series: Details here

**West Indies Announce Squad for Nepal T20I Series**

*By Rajdeep Saha | Sep 18, 2025*

The West Indies cricket team has announced a 15-member squad for their upcoming three-match T20I series against Nepal. The matches are scheduled to be played in Sharjah later this month, starting September 27.

**Akeal Hosein to Lead the Side**

Left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein will captain the team, marking his first time leading the West Indies across formats. Hosein, who has featured in the most T20Is among squad members, will take charge in the absence of several first-choice players, including regular captain Shai Hope, who has been rested for this series.

The squad combines youth and experience, featuring seasoned players such as Fabian Allen, Jason Holder, and Kyle Mayers alongside emerging talent.

**Five Uncapped Players Included**

Notably, the squad includes five uncapped players making their way into international cricket: Ackeem Auguste, Navin Bidaisee, Zishan Motara, Ramon Simmonds, and Amir Jangoo. This injection of fresh talent signals the team’s intent to build depth and test new prospects.

**Karima Gore Makes a West Indies Debut**

Another interesting addition is batter Karima Gore. While Gore has already represented the USA in eight T20Is, he is yet to don the West Indies jersey. He has been in impressive form recently, scoring 219 runs in 11 matches for the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons during the 2025 Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

**Previous Nepal Tour by West Indies A**

In April 2024, a West Indies A side toured Nepal for a five-match T20 series. Although they lost the series, the team managed to claim two victories against Nepal, providing valuable experience ahead of this senior team encounter.

**Match Schedule**

– 1st T20I: September 27, 2025
– 2nd T20I: September 29, 2025
– 3rd T20I: September 30, 2025

All matches will take place in Sharjah.
