Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has issued a clarification regarding his upcoming film, *The Taj Story*, following controversy sparked by the film’s poster on social media.

The poster, which features Rawal holding the dome of the Taj Mahal containing a Shiva idol inside, ignited a wave of debates and criticism online. Many users expressed surprise and disappointment, with comments such as, “Can’t believe he’s the same man who once made OMG!! Well, that’s where we are living at right now,” and, “Didn’t expect this from you.”

Responding to the backlash, Paresh Rawal took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the concerns. He stated, “The movie does not deal with any religious matters, nor does it claim that a Shiv temple resides within the Taj Mahal.”
