Indore News: Municipal Commissioner Dilip Kumar Yadav Orders For Planning 24×7 Water Supply For A Ward

**Indore Municipal Commissioner Orders Pilot Plan for 24×7 Water Supply in One Ward**

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Municipal Commissioner Dilip Kumar Yadav on Friday directed officials to develop a comprehensive plan aimed at providing 24×7 water supply in at least one ward of the city on a pilot basis.

The instruction came during Yadav’s inspection of the city’s water supply system and green belt maintenance on Friday morning. The inspection team included additional commissioners Rohit Sisonia and Abhay Rajanagwankar, executive engineer Sanjeev Srivastava, and other department heads.

The inspection began with a visit to the Bijalpur control room, followed by the municipal office and key water distribution points across the city. During the tour, Commissioner Yadav reviewed the entire water distribution network, focusing on the supply line from Jalud to Bijalpur, the functioning of SCADA systems, and water delivery throughout the city.

Officials briefed the commissioner on various operational details, including the number of water tanks, inflow and outflow rates, water pressure levels, direct supply connections, and the installation of water meters at households. Yadav emphasized the importance of maintaining uniform water pressure from the first to the last household served by each tank to ensure equitable distribution.

Addressing concerns about insufficient tank filling despite SCADA monitoring, the commissioner reviewed the water level records of the Nanak Nagar tank over the past 15 days to assess supply efficiency.

Following the water supply inspection, Yadav also visited the Ring Road area, from Musakhedi to the Rajiv Gandhi statue, to oversee green belt maintenance. He directed NGOs responsible for upkeep to promptly remove green waste along both sides of the green belt and expressed dissatisfaction over the current lack of cleanliness in the area.

This initiative marks a significant step towards improving Indore’s water supply infrastructure and urban environment, aiming to enhance the quality of life for its residents.
